Background of the Organization

Trinamool Unnayan Sangstha (TUS) is a non-profit, apolitical, and non-governmental voluntary development organization established in May 1998. Since its inception, TUS has been dedicated to implementing health and various development programs in Mymensingh, focusing on the socio-economic and health development of vulnerable groups, including women, children, adolescents, youth, street children, prospective poor individuals, and drug users at the grassroots level.

Utilizing a participatory project planning approach, TUS identifies community challenges systematically, categorizing them for innovative action research aimed at achieving sustainable development. This methodology ensures the involvement of target families in both rural and urban areas, promoting effective participation in activities for sustainable development.

TUS is committed to providing quality support services, facilitating empowerment initiatives, and taking proactive steps to uplift the targeted families. Through its development endeavors, TUS envisions not just short-term relief but lasting improvements that enhance the overall well-being of the communities it serves.

Financial Strategy

The organization primarily secures funding for its initiatives from both local and international sources. This financial support includes grants and soft loans. Trinamool Unnayan Sangstha (TUS) meticulously maintains its financial records in accordance with constitutional provisions.

All funds and cash flows are securely deposited in government-scheduled banks. Operational oversight of these accounts is a collaborative effort involving the Chairman, Executive Director, and Treasurer, who jointly manage the financial transactions.
